The SBL syllabus is a holistic approach to the martial arts, covering all aspects of self-defence. The art’s different features range from ground to upright fighting, grappling, the use of sharp-edged weapons to softer weapons such as the Salendang (shoulder scarf), and dynamic striking from all angles and ranges.
The art has a softer side called Kembangan (the Flower Dance) which is a moving meditation done in a relaxed and slow manner to help improve balance, fluidity and rhythm, and to enhance concentration, focus, and levels of awareness.
The SBL syllabus is suitable for all ages and for both men and women. It is also suitable for beginners or advanced practitioners in martial arts. It will enable you to improve your fitness, lose weight, increase your relaxation and concentration levels and, most importantly, build your self confidence. All classes are done in a fun and friendly environment, with highly qualified instructors, ensuring you get the best out of your training.
